  1. printf support and improvements for event printout. Tested info and debug printout for both printf and ostream variant
  2. Adapted defaultcfg CMakeLists.txt to add event and object translation files to sources if they exist.
  3. New platform.h file to gather different types of pre-defined macros to determine the current platform. See https://stackoverflow.com/questions/7063303/macro-unix-not-defined-in-macos-x
